Unlock the Magic of Childhood

A Special Story for My Grandson and Curious Kids Everywhere

I am so excited to share something truly special: my very first children’s book, “Abel Learns To Listen.” This story comes straight from my heart for my wonderful grandson Abel—a bright, curious, and imaginative five-year-old who sparks joy in every room he enters.

I wrote this story with a very personal mission: I wanted to foster a real love of reading in Abel by making him the star of his own adventure. There’s something magical about seeing yourself in a story, and I hoped that by putting Abel at the center, reading would become even more engaging and meaningful for him.

At the same time, like so many children, Abel sometimes finds it tricky to stop his busy play and focus on listening—especially when it’s Mama’s voice at home or when his Teacher calls out at daycare. I wanted to explore these little everyday struggles in a fun, gentle way, building a world where learning important lessons feels just as exciting as a rocket ship blast-off or building the tallest block tower.

In “Abel Learns To Listen,” Abel discovers that listening with your whole body—eyes, ears, heart, and hands—can make every day better. Along the way, he learns that good listening can lead to new adventures.

Because I know so many families face these same challenges, I’ve decided to make this book available for sale to others. My hope is that it can be a helpful, encouraging resource for anyone looking for gentle ways to teach the art of listening.

Thank you for sharing in this journey with me. Creating something for Abel, and for all the spirited kids like him, has truly been a dream come true.
